the house is quiet
all the world
it seems
is asleep
the stillness
oh it hurts
just to stir
against it
each sound
no matter
how soft
seems
so loud
irreverant

this way
is begging
to be broken
down
this path
is longing
to be travelled
upon
but we
cannot make
a sound

let us instead
make music
and dance
the world away
each touch of skin
a different step
each moan
a different tone
in a symphony
and a tango
I may not
know the moves
but I will learn
them surely
if you guide me

break the silence
hear the cries
of ecstacy
break the stillness
feel the movement
a clash of body
against body

oh the opera
in our minds
plays out
in full
pomp and circumstance

but the quietness
around us
outside of us
it binds us
traps us
suffocates us
presses in
and holds us
apart
away
alone
and all I wish
is that somehow
I could bear now
to fight my way
through
against the weight
and to you
so that we could
be pressed together
and conquer
all the silence
and stillness
as two
working
as one

an ounce of silence
weighs like a ton

And these words are about twice as heavy. It's not good to read poetry that is this well crafted in it's somberness, on a night like tonight. Not good at all.
