Behind a mask
of flawlessly lined
lips glossed
with cherry red
and eyes darkened
by a powder shadow
lashes lengthened
and curled
to perfection
skin lucent
and unblemished
lies a scheming mind
which can't decide
whether to love or hate
and instead does both
by mixing and matching
utilizing the adaptable
personality and body language
Make them all believe
what they want to believe
then everybody's happy
make them all hear
exactly what they wish to hear
then everybody's satisfied
yet all will find
themselves disappointed
in the morning
alone and finding
words so appealing before
lacking any substance in the present
Behind this doll face
and the smile of ingenuity
planning each word
to create the most drastic effect
and spinning dreams in a web
until the prey is caught
lies a mind that is lost
misdirected
knowing what it wants
but because what it wants
cannot be taken
it instead focuses
on what it can get
How dangerous
a courtesan
persuading faith
and causing dependancy
upon illusions which
she creates at her disposal
looks around and finds
she cannot convince herself
and now she is lost
