The light was fading fast
and finally the sun set
as our hearts concluded
that they could
live without one another

So darkness crept into my soul
and left me feeling cold and lonely

Despite the sunset:
I'll never stop loving you

But in the night the clouds dispersed
to reveal the stars and
I wished upon a hundred or so
hoping, dreaming, seeking
a new day.

First light was spotted in the east
and a hint of red and orange
begins to climb into the sky
lighting a new path
revealing people who still care
and seek a chance to let
their heart and mine beat in unison.

Sunlight has born my hopes
into a new appreciation
of love and life and dreams

Good morning sunshine
embrace me in all your light and glory

You're a beautiful girl, still so young, and still so many sunrises in your future. I'm sure you won't have trouble finding new meaning in life, new paths are found, and obsticles are easily overcome by those as talented and smart as you. Wonderful write

mm. exactly. sometimes we have to close our eyes, turn around, and open them, walking into the new without mourning the old.
