There's so many voices here
But I'm not hearing a thing

White noise

It's crowded here
But I'm lonely

Isolated

I'm reading a book
But the pages aren't
Holding me in
My eyes keep darting to
The lines below
Or above

Distracted

Make it stop
Give me peace
I'm aching
For a moment
Of bliss
Or a feeling of
Something better
Something that
Doesn't hurt
Anything
Just once

Relief

To know
What it feels like
I seek solace
And I've found
Something
Like peace
But it's lacking
The feeling
That I'm seeking
Like a weight
Lifted off my shoulders
But it's still there

My cross to bear

But no, please
Make the noise cease
Or at least make
The noise hearable
Understandable

Distinguishable

Just make it silent
It's all coming too fast
And I can't keep up

Overwhelming

Make it stop
Give me peace
Make it cease
Just once
Please
Just give me

Silence

#47

ahhh yes the struggle for silence....its not as easy to achieve as some may believe and it gets so angering sometimes not to have that echoing nothingness... >Raven<

Ha, my brother commented on this, cool. The world is to over populated and so much for privacy, can kiss that good-bye. Never enough time for yourself. To many things to be done and not enough time to do it in. Or is it the other way around?...

It really depends. Sometimes I wish that everything would just stop. Sometimes I wish something would happen

I enjoyed this read, I know quite well what you write about, though that does not matter. I look forward to future works...

Well, once again Nighty, this is a knock me out damn good piece! Not sure what knock me out damn good means, but it's good. As kefka said, I wrote when I was 15, but not nearly this good, keep it up brave child. Heh.

I number my poems. You'll notice it with all of them (or you should unless I've forgotten)... That's my 47th finished work since January, when I started writing again. I write a LOT, the only numbered poems are the ones that are completely finished, tha

I'm really picky about what I consider poetry, and what I consider sharable.
