Sometimes I wonder
Why I love you so much
You're only human
And you're just a man
But you're the sort of person
That makes the bad stuff
Taste better
That makes life seem
More livable
And when I'm down
You bring me up
But you don't fill me
With false hope
Haven't promised anything
But let things remain unsaid
Like a dream
I don't need the plot to be explained
It's already there
Speaking for itself
I can't help
That when we converse
I begin to feel
This sense of purpose
Of future
I don't linger on the past
Like I always thought
I was doomed to do
I start thinking
About today
And tomorrow
And what life will bring
What changes have yet to be made
All because I look at you
And realize that
Though you're here and now
'We' isn't here and now
But rather, someday
And every day
I wake up
And I look at your picture
And I find myself
Wondering
What we'll talk about today
And when I log online
Imagine my disappointment
When you're not on
But imagine my glee
When you happen to be there
And I can't wait to
Talk to you
I can't wait to
Find out what is on your mind
Anticipation
So I thank you
Despite our sarcastic banter
That caused us to end
Last night's conversation
Rather miffed
(at least on this side)
Because you're the reason
That I think about someday
That I think about tomorrow
That I think about where I want to be
Ten years from now
(And that's with you)
I've never really thought
In futuristic terms before
But you cause me
To think about it
And I love it
Because I love you
And I love
Looking forward
To us
