I call myself a poet
Cause I write as though I know it
Stitch my words into the fabric of the page
I write about the world
Though I'm untraveled by compare
I only wish, I only dare
And so I write about experience as I age
I call myself a dreamer
Cause I only have my dreams here
To cling to when I'm running low on hope
I dream about tomorrow
Try to forget all the sorrow
Try to wish myself a better place
A better space, perhaps one with which I could cope...
I call myself a singer
Cause I sing myself a thing or two
To keep myself alive and full of dreams
I sing loud or I sing low
I doesn't matter any though
I craft my songs to fit my muse
Because I sing of freedom, love, and peace
I call myself a fighter
Cause I'll try with all my might to
Get as far as I can get with what I do
I stand against injustice
I'm not wishing wars of protest
I want my voice heard can they just
Understand that I've opinion too?
I call myself a rebel
Cause I don't accept the trouble
That you've caused by your own stupidity
I'll fight for what I believe in
No matter what the consequence
I'm not here to clear my conscience
I'm here to stand by my liberty
I'm a poet
I'm a dreamer
I'm a singer
I'm a fighter
I'm a rebel
I'm a person who has many sides to show
I'll call myself whatever suits me
I call myself whatever I wish
Don't you dare tell me I can't though...
