I sat at my desk and composed a note
A letter of my feelings, it's about time I wrote
Three pages long and it's not quite done
It doesn't seem to end, in fact, it doesn't have one.

So here's the letter I considered sending
Including postscript: There's no ending
It trails off mid-sentence like there's more to be found
But there's nothing else there, go ahead, look around

Usually a letter ends rather summarized and concluding
A happy ending, a sweet farewell, or something moving
A signature, a postscript, something to imply
The end is here, time to say goodbye

So here's the letter I considered sending
Forgive me for not including an ending
It's my personal belief that we've much more to share
So I really don't like finishing it off right there.

I like this quite a bit, I actually didn't notice the rhyme until the third stanza (good job that's how it should be). I like the notion of an endless letter, neat perspective, I won't put a period at the end of this

Reminds me off the Beatles 'Goodbye, Hello'. No need to say good-bye if you have intensions of meeting again. Nothing is gone forever...

Actually in my opinion...every thing has it's end..every life dies...every candle fades...every day ends...Even this world one day will end..Same goes with writing...nothing should be left incomplete..it just leaves a void in your creativity...-Kefka

I really like this one, for we all revolve, and evolve, have we ever truly finished what we wished to say?..

Finishing stuff has never been my strong point anyway. LOL.

Wow, the simplistic thoughts that we all think, yet never in depth. You captured so much in this, the ending was perfect, not wanting to end the letter, because there is so much more to share. Great write.

Thanks, six. "There are no sad endings, cause nothing ever ends" (I think that's from The Last Unicorn) *grin*
