the echo becomes clear
do i want to avoid this
or is this the bitter taste that i've learned to adore

forever straining to become one
a void in my heart that only one could solidify

bear with me

in depth and solitude
we contemplate who we are
and who we are to become

bonding to those we hold dear
but breaking their hearts with such meaningless virtue

you're better than this
you're better than me
and yet you see through me for what i am
and what i feel

Depth in silence
we lie here

awkwardness is not the word
this silence was much needed
and yet you study my eyes anyways

come to behold what scares us the most
i will not be thrown away
i will no longer throw myself away
we are what you made us to be

for this we give thanks.

Wonderful. This is such a familiar feeling that you've summed up so much more eloquently than I ever could.
