Written with Armand.

Forbidden romance and
unspeakable timing.
Deny your words
disavow my existence.
My sense of logic
interrupted by girlish dreams.
I'm just as hopeless as you.

Catch me in arms I’ve only dreamed of
for I've fallen too far, too fast
and I’m in so deep, so soon.
Keep whispering your sweet nothings
as I sink even farther.

Close your eyes,
my faceless one.
Follow me to the field
beyond the stars.
There, we are together.
Caress my cheek with your gentle touch
and kiss my doubts away.
Your breath on my neck
like a desert wind.
I am yours forever.

Do with me as you wish -
You’ve already melted my soul.
Drop me
and I’ll shatter like the porcelain doll
you’ve created
with painted on smile
and crystalline eyes.
Or put me on your shelf
where dreams are measured in gathered dust.

The stars are falling from the sky.
I've opened my eyes
to generic conversation for public consumption
that tells me I just can't win with you anyway.
Maybe I should give up.

Will you forget you ever cared for me?
I can pretend as well.
A forbidden romance
Locked away in a field above the stars.

If ever you begin to think of me,
just close your eyes, my dear,
and we'll be together once more.

This was bound to happen, and it did...and I am so glad to have seen it...delicate and fluttering grace moves through this piece like a sighing wind. Incredible.
