Like a drug you call to me
I have no chioce
Im in misery

I go to you, I heed your call
With each step I take
I begin to fall

There you are, so good you seem
Now it's my choice
As if in a dream

To turn away or to wait and see
My heart says "run"
And I tend to agree

Captivated by you, the joy you pledge
I linger, await my fate
I stand on the edge

I take of you and you of me
A moment of joy
Followed by more misery

For that one shining moment, you see
Lost from my troubles
I felt complete

Then you were gone, me left in the dust
What had I done?
Myself, I couldn't trust

So here in the dark I sit all alone
I know you'll come again
To call me home

When in my life will I enjoy the strength
To say no to you
In my moment of self hate
