It rains with passion
As if a desperate goddess weeps for loss
The deluge drowns desire
Inspiring me toward melancholy

The sun is denied
Clouds suffocate light
Choking it into submission
Painting the world in grey

Trees drink their thirst
Becoming drunk on life
The water runs with vigor
Across my displayed flesh

The renewal begins
Cocooned in released buds
Water splashes me coolly
Washing my pride away

Rivers swell in hasty expansion
Climbing their banks aggressively
Sweeping away the debris of my life
Cleansing the bed of my soul
