Light your torches men
Who knows what the night holds for us
Be it some monstrous fear
A demon in our mind
Tread softly and carry a long spear
What stalks us, means us ill
It will devour our bones
Consume our flesh
Set a picket at once
Light dwindles to a faint memory
Padded footsteps are close at hand
Just off this forgotten path
Brace yourself for sheer terror
There is a thing with red eyes
Teeth the size of daggers
That savors the flesh of man
Set the watch quickly
Do not let the shadows claim you
There is no chance of rescue here
Eternal darkness will be your tomb
Sleep with sword in hand
This night is sure to claim a soul
Hear the awaiting silence
Perched on being broken
Keep on eye upward
Stay vigilant until the dawn
Prowlers lose their courage then
Retracting until the night masks their deeds
Say goodnight to your friends
Some will be given to the night
That is the price for passage
To the fortress at Mount Crescent
Make peace with your gods
Prepare for your meeting
Set the table of your great reunion
Soon you will become the main feast
Remember the sunset
It will be a miracle to witness another
The first star has appeared
Now the waiting begins
The stalker approaches in silence
Spreading terror in shifting shadows
If you hear your heart pounding
It is already too late
As it comes for you
Coward not before it
It has strength in your fears
Only thus, shall you prevail
