Dark doves line the street
Thickening my soul
A primordial ooze drips from the sky
Splattering on my shoulders
Every movement brings a scream
A rebellious shout from cracked lips
My arms might be broken
Lock jaw won’t let me look down
My family lies around me
Twisted corpses impaled on street posts
Friends are skeletal remains
Brittle bones crackling in fire
Blood is dripping from my head
Open wounds fester with gangrene
Insects crawl over my body
Digging claws and spikes into my skin
Long dead dogs rip flesh from my legs
Fighting over the exposed bones
Broken teeth fall from my mouth
Diving off my razor cut tongue
Half of my fingernails are shattered
Littering the path I try to crawl down
Boils fester and leak
Pouring yellow puss
A grey stench makes me gag
I vomit out every trace of humanity
My skin is dry liked cracked earth
It flakes and scatters to the wind
The searing heat forges my will
Melts my carcass like a cheap candle
