I am the silent one
I merely observe
It is not my place to talk
At first I will not make sense to you
But then you will open your ears
And hear the words I do not speak
For words cannot duly describe what I see
The mysteries are far too deep
The contradictions are too complex
So I choose to be passive
Let others attempt to decipher it all
While I hold on to my secret knowledge
Waiting patiently for the other one
The one who will understand
The one who will talk to me without words
I am the silent one
Never fun at a party
Always seen on the outside of a crowd
You are so amusing to me
You, the talker of words
Words which get you into trouble
Reveal how awful we all are
I care not what you think of me
For I know who I am
And though I am the furthest from perfect
I have to think I am closer than you
For you need words to communicate
What a lesser way
I am the silent one
The bearer of a sacred knowledge
Volunteering to be a messenger
A messenger who does not speak
I am one of many
Those that society tries to hide away
The socially misunderstood
Labeled and stereotyped into submission
Branded outcasts and forgotten
We are the ones who have opened our minds
Have allowed ourselves to believe in much more
Free from the shackles of a false religion
I am the silent one
One of many
Eagerly pursuing the perfect silence
Where all voices gather
We are the silent ones
We have much to say
Yet we keep it to ourselves
Because they are not popular views
We understand the world is not ready for us
The silent population is growing
Soon, we will all be heard
