Let the gods do as they may
I feel exempt
I do not recognize them
Their need for attention does not impress me
Donations and rituals only separate me from the Oneness
Rights and Wrongs dictated by priests and rabbis are not mine
People make decisions based on their circumstances
We are not to judge

The Gods I have heard of, seem ungodly
Needing to conform all people
Financially dependant on followers
Requiring interpreters with titles
I do not believe in a varying scale of holiness
Only the level of kindness displayed

It is said we were given 10 commandments
A god does not need such a decree
It could simply remove it from our nature

A loving god needs no Praise or Punishment system for our souls
Surely no god would deny love to it's own creation
Or for exerting the will given to us by it
If god punished us for using free will,
How can it really be called free will?

When I hear of god's unconditional love, I laugh
Hell would be awfully empty if our sins were forgiven
If love were so great, forgiveness would be assured

Gods who ask for rituals and sacrifice sound selfish to me
What does god need the praise of a human for?

When my life here finally ends,
I will shut the gates of heaven
And secure a great lock upon it
I will return to the Oneness from whence I came

I really like your outlook here. You certainly have some valid points... why would a "loving God" allow souls to suffer in hell? Why would an all-powerful God who demands our worship make us capable of rejecting him? Very insightful. I do appreciate it.

This is exactly what I believe. I used to be very Christian and the more I learned, the more I didn't like the ideas of Christianity. Too contradictory. Thanks for voicing my thoughts.

Yes! Why did I not read this before? I have come up with a theory. If there is a Satan, he invented religion. What better way to get man to kill man in the name of God. Hmmm. Great work, S.

People need one they call "God", a celestial being to protect them and take away their fears. I couldn't agree with you more..

very well done... interesting that the same people scoff at the old myths and yet hold firmly that theirs are real...

"surely no god would deny love to it's own creation" this line is great, made me sit back and wonder. So many things happen and people blame it on "God" instead of blaming their own stupidity/wrong doings. Well, that's what I got from it.

This is going on my favorites. It says everything I wish I could have said but didn't. Its amazing how we, god's creations have been able to find such points of religon.-Kefka
