I miss the way you wrote to me
I remember the way you spoke to my soul
You exposed true emotion
Spoke of darkness too complete to conquer
We examined our scars
Shared truths that should not have been spoken of
You harnessed the elusive
Tempted me with tangible text
I would come to you, from galaxies away
Intrude on your cyberspace sanctuary
It was you I would turn to
When I couldn’t face myself any longer
You were someone who had seen darker places
Places that would not let me be free
So when you left, I had to find my legs
And learn to stand again
Finding the will, was the hardest of all
Knowing you wouldn’t be there to catch me
And though your comfort is gone
Your memory is not
