one drop glistening,
lust, hate, to dam hot to evaporate,
moving acking
work back breaking,
clothes sticking to moist sweat soaked skin,
trees rustle in heat waves,
ground craked from lack of rain,
grass beautiful brown and scorched,
dusk till dawn brightness radiating,
darkness falls,
half felt relief,
clinging to the very air the burning breath of summer,
any closer to hell and I would be dead,
the sign on the road greeting my headlights,
Welcome to Paradise, Texas population 459
