You deserve better than me
I am the dirt you are the tree
True love is, the ability to let go
To never reap what everyday you sow
To sacrifice your life for the one you love
To bow down and crawl and push her above
To watch your future walk away
to force her to leave while you stay
lying in the shit and the piss of decay
while she grows more distant every day
The anger and hurt that you feel
Will be forgotten and you will heal
I hold no grudge I would think the same as you
But to see you happy there is nothing I wouldn’t do
For
you deserve, better than me
if you can’t leave, I will cut you free
I’ll never deserve, your love
I wallow in the dirt you stand above
Crawl on my belly to kiss your precious feet
I will crawl in a hole so we’ll never again meet
Hidden forever alone in the dark
Inspiration:
A broken romance with my first love. I was in a bad place and in order to save her life I left her and in doing so lost a part of myself.
