The faded breath of twilight
Finds a mourning in me
A quiet, translucent sigh escapes
My heart
Once again I am left
With a silent plea unto my soul
As the sky bleeds
And dies into darkness
Beloved is this moment
This beautiful
Decaying moment
A blessed release
All are searing for
Destined for
Not enough
I still to search the withered horizon
There is a knowing in me
[that] Whispers things
Of ash and earth
Haunted, arcane words
I cannot grasp
Somehow I had forgotten
This witness of mercy
This awaited instant
Of imminent fate
Countless abstracted days have passed
With my heart wandering
And eyes obscure
Full of shame
I ache for lost moments
And yield my regrets to purpose
My heart resides in the evening glow
Away from it i shall stray no more.
