With every breath, I feel as though I am drowning in your absence.

In every moment I reach and strain, but there is no air.

I am submerged in the murky pool called despair.

Light does not penetrate and warmth does not persist.

I curse the day my vile unrighteous heart was conceived.

Would that someone worthy of great love had been in my stead.

But here am I;

Unrighteous,

Unworthy,

Unacceptable,

Unloved.
