 Unable to withstand
 the onslaught of loneliness
 I yearn for a touch
 from outside myself

 Taste of an apple
 too long on the ground
 Fallen, unwanted
'till even the core is dry

 Birds pass by
 flowers grow near
 none can see me
 for I am within

 with only the rain
 to moisten my soul

Yearn for a touch outside myself...great line. Very vivid and descriptive in such a small amount of words. I see desperation in this work, too. Loneliness will do that to you, make you desperate for a touch, any touch, it doesn't even have to be sweet as long as its real. I really really like this one Schley.
