I wish I could remember the sound of my fan spinning in my room,

I wish I could remember getting up early in the morning getting dressed as i walked outside and let the cold air hit my skin,

I wish I could remember true happiness, the fact that lying down with my love on a comfortable bed falling asleep so peacefully,

I wish I could remember the smiles on everyones faces, dads dry rib rub, mac and cheese, chips and dip, games with friends,

I remember these things, though can not feel them, I can not conjure up the joy I feel on these occasions,

I pray to God for strength to get through this darkness, I will not die, I wont waste my sacrifice, I will see you all again, someday.

There may be a place where that joy waits for you. Take heart from that hope however distant. Come home, so that you may find home again.
