The world ended a day early
I wasn't ready when it stopped
It left me cold and surly
When the aneurysm popped

No shining path to glory
To rescue me from you
Just an abruptly ended story
Winding path without a clue

Death like life confusing
Walking a darkened hall
I'd find it quite amusing
If I wasn't cold and dull

Do you believe my message?
Worn tune of deep despair
Or are you smugly blessed?
Growing old without a care

Dark realizations coming
Will fill your heart with dread
Too late to feel the sunning
You'll know when you are dead
