I love the 80's

3:41 a.m.

Alcohol drowned
                               Tone-def.
Musically challenged.
                                Bigger than life hair
Even bigger attitudes.

Late night threesomes.
                                 Early morning vodka.

Something about the 80's
and the metal we injected
into our systems daily.

How did we survive the Hair Metal
glam rock
Twisted Sister Novelty martyrs
without putting a bullet in our rusted
brains.

Perhaps it was the mercury flowing through
our veins or the evil heavy
progression of the new era.

Whatever it was.
I believe the 80's are
