Withering rose
Petals edges blackened
By time
Like the slow agonizing decay
Of my heart
Peices falling
Shattered
Falling to an unfeeling land
An unyeilding land
Or hand
Picking up the petals
You leave the peices in the snow
I can feel the icy sting of cold
Hardening my heart
Spring bringing roses
Blooms a new
Vines creeping toward the sky
Time healing old wounds
But I have not forgotten
For now my heart's embraced by the satin petals
And protected by the thorns
