A flickering candle in your hand

And I watch the flame dance in your eyes

I feel the warmth of your skin
Your fingers intertwined with mine
Indescribable feeling within

Wrapping your arms around me
I feel the heat from your body
As it melts the frigid ice
That surrounded my dead heart

Try to find the words to speak
You pull me closer as our lips meet
How can I make you understand
What you've done for me

You've saved me tonight
Like so many nights
When I thought there was nothing left to save

You've held the woman in me
Wiped away her tears
Helped her to be brave
Even in her darkest days

You've taught the child in me
How to play again
To love the sunshine on her face
And to let it warm her within
