Here without you,
But your face haunts my
Broken memories.
Your voice cracks through
The trip I’m on, the
Miles I count as the room
Spins and sways.

I got high to get you gone,
But it’s not working
And you still break down
The walls I put up
To keep the world out
And set you free just one,
Just one more time.

But now I want to know
If I’m in your dreams too.
The high is wearing thin
And I’m seeing the world
As it truly is:
A fucked up reality to live.
It’s not supposed to be
Real but it really is.

The sick truth behind me
Is that you’re still there
Even though I moved on
And broke others’ hearts.
So I light up another and
Hope it stops your attack
On my insane sanity.

God be with me.
