through the mist she walks, alone, into the desolate city
the sky is clouded and black, tears soon will fall to wet the cement
she strolls along, at no particular pace,
making amends with herself, figuring out what to say,
what to say when she reaches the end.
will god forsake her? will he reach in and steal her breath away
and grant her everlasting life?

the sidewalks below her feet are beginning to swirl
beautiful colors, insane shapes all around
salvation is just a step away, she stops.
she turns around and walks the opposite direction
heading right back to where she came from,
back into the mist, where the dark clouds beckon her
and she feels at home, not like an outcast.

she opens her eyes to reveal a room
four plain white walls covered in shadows
one bed with bland bedding, only one pillow
one window, revealing the raindrops falling onto a tree
one door, leading to the outside, she dares not go.
she would rather be drenched in loneliness,
in her saturated loneliness.

"And I wish there was something.
Please tell me there’s something better.
And I wish there was something more than this,
Saturated loneliness.

And I wish I could feel it,
And I wish I could steal it,
Abduct it, corrupt it, but I never can.
It's just saturated loneliness."

As the loneliness seeps to the core, your imagination fills the gaps and its manifestations reveal your innerspace - your core - that sanctuary
