we are all the same
in difference
length of bone
heft of muscle
fragment of DNA
under the skin it takes a microscope
to tell one from another

evolution gave us better sight than smell
and arranged our faces
in semi-unique patterns
to tell one from another
not quite snowflakes
it is said, we all have a double

in the end
we all arrive at the same conclusion
dust and bone

at the moment of your death
in reconciliation of your life lived
will you still want to say you were different
or will you wish you could say
you made a difference

hmmm but we all don't feel the same ;) I always thought that being different was making a difference... however small. I'd like to think when I die.... won't all differences become mute given sufficient time? Very thoughtful and encouraging... a practical write with a potent moral... carpe noctem.

I think you hit it on the head when you said "at the moment of your death"...... So many live and die by the sword and kudos too them, but so many more live as they wish(me being one) and repent/ask for forgiveness in their final moments which i can also understand, but i'm quite sure i wont ask forgiveness, i think we're here to experience the "good the bad and the ugly" i have no bible religion but i do believe in a creator, and i honestly feel i've never been judged a day in my life...except by myself...thanks for the think;)
