we are all the same
in difference
length of bone
heft of muscle
fragment of DNA
under the skin it takes a microscope
to tell one from another
evolution gave us better sight than smell
and arranged our faces
in semi-unique patterns
to tell one from another
not quite snowflakes
it is said, we all have a double
in the end
we all arrive at the same conclusion
dust and bone
at the moment of your death
in reconciliation of your life lived
will you still want to say you were different
or will you wish you could say
you made a difference
