in the ever shifting paradigms
of the scientists and their theories
could it all boil down to mathematics
our form and function and purpose
string theory, fractals, quantum physics
is complex math the sum of our existence?

is the moment of our birth
nothing more elaborate
than the quotient at intersection
of two points on the grid
can tomorrow be factored down
by the square root of yesterday?

maybe we've always been digital
and nothing is esoteric
is science going to reduce us
to nothing more
than ones and zeros?
