are stars the lies that we tell?
does the night sky sparkle with sequin lies
stitched to the fabric of time

tiny pinprick lights
only visible on the clearest of nights
or little white lies?

and the ones that twinkle and dance
and wink
are the come ons and hit ons
and verbal buggery
we all pay homage to each other with
just hoping to get laid

the big bright ones
the ones that dare to come out first
well those ones
are the whoppers!
the ones so big, so bursting with laughter
so truly bad
you want to believe in them!

falling stars?
too easy
busted!

and those super novas
man oh man
that's the worst
that's when a lie
takes on a life of it's own...

oh wait!
there is one worse
so bright i can barely look at it
it's those universes
those huge massive seething
seas of stars
they're made of the words
of the politicians, the preachers
and the lawyers...

so

are we searching for truth in the stars
so we can believe in our lies?

This world of lies and deception that you live in sounds awful...I'm glad I found a lonely little planet of brutal truth to live on. (I especially like my skies of deepest purple...and the mermaids and fairies and hookah smoking turtles)

What a brilliant piece of analogy, the first two stanzas put me in twinkle land before your ever so intelligent way bought a philosophy of thought to something we've all done a thousand times....looked at the night sky, gr8 write teri.
