no mortal gift will do
from me to you
your are worthy
of something
not store bought or ordinary
i believe
you are worth
a leap of faith

because i love you
and you love me
i'm willing to trust you
with all of me
the happy, the glad
the tragic, the sad
the trite, the sublime
the past, the present
and the future (i hope)

so here's all my secrets
my baggage and bones
the things that i want
the things that i need
all of it
including my dirty laundry

when you look at this gift
the whole story of me
what will you see...

Pandora's box or serendipity?

Damn straight it's a leap of faith...but sometimes you have to roll the dice. Very insightful, as always.

To strip yourself of all security blankets and offer your main artery. Creates the opportunity for fairytales to become 'flesh animation'............. or to have your heart ripped clean from your chest, a question of courage & will - vs - the safe place where mediocrity lives.
