tiny and delicate
she drew men
as fireflies draw to mason jar castles

they hovered around her
a conflict of men
in battle
so silent, it was loud

their fatherly desire to
protect and nurture
knocked loudly
on the wood of
throbbing cocks, hardened by
an image, a handful of hair
a neck arched
in perfect perfection

she danced
in the current
of their conflict
sparkled
in the fire in their eyes
teased
them into displaying
all their finery
just for her

she is any woman
who
knows the art
of making him
feel like a man

I couldn't help but think of peacocks with this write... until I realized with peacocks, it's the men that flutter their feathers and dance for the females. either way, this was thought provoking which is what it's mostly about.

i think there are times when every woman doubts herself, from appearance to soul if you will, and then ... then there are times when she knows no doubts about the power she can possess without uttering a word but by simply tilting her head a certain way.... to simiply be there and eminate being female... this hit it dead on i think... thanks for the reminder

I dont wanna get all academic or something or even be picky... but this seems to make the art of being a woman somehow related to, or maybe even dependent on, pleasing a man...? Definitely not like your other very feminist post that really sang of woman's independence... but anyways, just droppin my two cents. It is a very sensual write, regardless of literary theory, and shows true talent.

First, I would like to say thank you for this and the many other insightful comments you have left for me. I believe that part of being a woman, includes loosing herself in her femininity when she chooses to do so. I did not mean to imply that this is the sum total of being a woman, but it is part of being a woman for me. Maybe the title isn't quite right?

hmmmm.... well, I wonder. I like to wonder. And I understand... in fact, it expresses very much what I consider to be the art of being woman; I just had to point out another perspective, and I kinda thought you were aware of it anyway since your other write was very much not like that. So... yep. murmurs in the dark, nothing more.

*smiles*...murmurs in the dark are the best kind. I live up to my reputation as a Gemini...i change persona's like clothes...it all depends on how I feel that day or maybe just the music I'm listening to....
