how is omitting some seemingly irrelevant bit of data a lie? What, no toilet seat... no occasional cooking... no mind reading when upset and unable to express it comprehensibly?? No patient listening to rants, nodding and commiserating silently without trying to "fix it" or explain "it"? I don't think these notes will get me past the test... but it is a very good start. ps. the last one would be a lot easier if the former ones (and the omissions I've included here) were not so hard... ;)

in fact, isn't sometimes "being nice" and "meaning what you say" or even "not lying" inconsistent...? Anyway... I love dialogues on gender, and I think the idea that Cliff is a guy's name as well as the series of study guides is a great, witty and creative aspect of this... but then that also raises the possibility of extending the Cliff's Notes metaphor into the suggested testing/evaluation that the series seems usable for... and that would make women into the test, or perhaps just the evaluator... which is a subtle but pertinent feminist aspect, potentially. ...
