The Pledge of Allegiance...
Said each school day
Is now under attack
Because of one word we'd say.

"God" is now, as they've stated,
Unconstitutional to be used.
Perhaps these idiots
Are a bit confused.

I'm definitely not some
"Religious freak"... by far!
But who do these "decision makers"
Really think they are?

First, prayer was taken
From the school morning's routine,
And now the Pledge?
Oh, what a sight unseen!

But I can imagine what's next
When "God" is taken from our speech...
Soon it will be unconstitutional
For a preacher to preach!

I know that's pushing it
A little to far,
But how low can we bend
Under this "Constitution" bar?

I'm wondering whether or not
They'll give the public a voice.
Is there anyone out there
Willing to hear our choice?

Although I'm not a big fan
Of going to church and such,
I believe their decisions
Are a bit too much.

However, I'm thinking that
This just might be a good thing...
Even though there's the risk
Of the upheaval it may bring.

You see, I am thinking about
How they're removing the word "God"
From just about anything
With a nonchalant nod.

"In God We Trust" is printed
On every dollar and coin...
It will be unconstitutional to use them.
Do you wish to join?

Join a group of people who
Refuse to pay their bills
Because the word "God" may offend
The "higher ups" on those hills!

See, as they are proposing,
It will be our "constitutional right"
To not use anything with "God" in or on it...
We're bound to win the fight!

So, for those of you in debt,
And wish to be debt free...
The higher ups have given us an answer...
An alternative to bankruptcy!

No more bills, no more credit counseling...
A country free of its debts.
Don't you think those who wish to remove "God"
Would be full of regrets?

Its good that you voice your opinion and its a great poem, but I'm going to have to disagree with you on the topic. If someone asked you to pledge your faith to a god you didn't worship, you would refuse to do it too. It would be like stabbing your god in

the back, making yourself into a hypocrite just to make other people happy. Stay who you are, practice your faith but don't try to push it off on other people.
