i sit
and stare
tracing these blue lines
that travel up my arms

its all inside of me

i get a pen
trace the lines in detail
wondering if i can find it
the evil that taints me

your blood
is in my veins
that means im tainted
just like you

my hand shakes
tears well in my eyes
as the pen knicks my skin
i watch the red come to the surface

im looking for the dark evil
cause i fear im just like you
cause i am your blood
your lil girl

i look up
and see your eyes looking back at me
from the mirror above my bed
a voice tells me

im tainted like you daddy
doomed to follow in your steps
i fight it
fight the urge to jab the pen deeper

i look up in the mirror again
and i start to see the differences
my eyes are a colder ice blue
than yours daddy

maybe thats because
im harder than frozen water
i survived you
i dont have to be like you

im not you
tainted blood
and all
its no excuse
to do
what you did

in a sorrowful way that was very beautiful. from this i'm sure the pen will be more on paper than you, which makes me see a lot more possibility. welcome to dp, hope ya stick around.
