(Written shortly after reading about Megan Meir's death at age 13)

Living in minutes, so fast paced
Choking on words from myspace
Wash the pills away, make it through the day
They’ve captured beauty, she’s kept in a magazine
Solving problems with skinny jeans
Love is one click away, hate is in the words we say
Driving new cars, it’s the key to success
Having sex in your party dress
Together means one night, forever’s end is in sight
Looking for lovers, not soul mates
Judging others on physical traits
Forget who we are, shut out nature’s star
Giving gifts, made by other people’s hands
Paving streets over Indian lands
Ignore the sunset buying things, escape your own reality on butterfly's wings

It makes me feel how much society tried to dictate who we are or can be in our lives. And that you aren't anyone if you aren't someone. Good work... ~Tez~
