(An older work of lesser quality)
Long ago you caught my eye
Flying through a turquoise sky
Hiding in my lagoon so long
But you were mine all along
Down your back nails do trace
And in your raven locks interlace
Gentle touch, as silk against skin
Cool flesh melts from within
Strange love of fin and feather
Nonetheless, we lie together
Color of earth, warmed by light
Embracing an ivory moonlit night
Darkened eyes lit with fire
Kindle my soul’s desire
As twin pools of ocean hue
Mirror an image of you
The taste of wine upon your lips
Intoxicating with velvet sips
Loving fingers do entwine
With these cold hands of mine
Tempest heartbeats fall as rain
Flowing blood through rivers veins
Warm breath caresses my breast
Within the safety of your nest
Speak to me once again my dear
Echoed whispers ringing clear
Words born to fade and die
Drowned by the seas lullaby
Footprints in sand wash away
The changing of tide brings the day
With one kiss spread your wings
Away before the morning rings
