Trapped.
Trapped in a wake of a dream.
The binding of your very existence.
The link between the chains

I have thought many times,
thought that life can be simple,
Complexities that my mind cannot grasp,
The chemical burning of the heart,
these are the things i have not missed.

But you,
You are these very chemicals,
these acids that boil my blood,
eventually burning my heart till it is no more.

Hearts are a fragile thing,
Removing it would be easier,
Easier than waiting for the broken shards to re piece themselves,
Hoping that they actually remember where they went.
Piece by piece they rejoin,
It is remodeled.
But never complete.

I have asked for this,
The moment my heart opened to you,
But one can never be prepared.

It operates like a hard disk,
the wonderful design,
I click re-format on my heart,
The allocation table has been reset,

But i well know - the memory is never cleared, and the feeling is always there.
