I have had the distinct pleasure of falling so hard
so fast
in life and in love

that I'm certain it must be some kind of personality dysfunction

or brain abnormality
that allows me to keep repeating
the same mistakes

over

and

over

again

without hesitancy
here I am
tasting a new but familiar flavor of disaster

and yet it's still as exciting

as the first time

the first kiss

certainly I must be missing some important mind element
that would allow me
to have foresight

or recognition

but it's like I'm wearing floppy wet socks

yet I still refuse

to just
take them off

how's the quote go? insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results each time. yeah, dysfunction. I'm still trying to figure out, by that definition, if there is a single sane person in this world.

That fine line between pleasure and pain, in a sadistic way we sometimes take comfort in the emotional attention, sometimes anything beats silence.

Excellent usage of metaphor. This rang a bit too close for comfort, but still a sensational pen you have here. Well done.
