Two hundred and twenty five bags of momentary happiness.

In each,
we carefully placed
tuna salad sandwiches,

cookies and chips.

Would you like coffee, water or tea?

Lets not forget the milk is saved for the children-
or the elderly.

These hours of preparation,
never could prepare my heart to descend so far into my empty stomach.

Empathy singed eyes

and while at this very moment I should be grateful for what I have...

all I can think about is why I'm not THEM.
