Sand washed,
salty lips,
project hindsight-

yet my sun streaked eyes will never see such glorious daylight.

Wind burned skin,
still reddened with the aftermath of unexpected storms,
inadequate life preparation...

continuously seeking warmth,
from paper- thin
soulless blankets.

Snow,
seeping below my collar,
chilling skin- deep bones that resemble spineless skeletons,

skating..

on ice much too thin for even a lightweight such as myself.

Unforgiving waves crash over me,

while the relentless undertow
pulls me under.

If only I could swim.
