Intellectual dynamo,
filled with pretentious insight,
and direction...

but you're just another,
dick-led head,

slowly being steered,
south in interest.

Staring helplessly...

lines of her dress,
grazing her breasts slowly,
and purposeful.

as if to state-

" rub your fingertips over me",

Trace the lines of your ego,
which is substantiated with multiple degrees...

in weakness,

and lack of self realization.

Need I mention your well spoken tongue,
is dripping,

as she glides across the blue collar made floor?

I do reckon,
my ivy league educated,
white collar mess...

I can see your highly developed brain,
sinking...

into your penis.

i love the blue collar/white collar bit. you're right about how someone who can be so smart can be so stupidly taken away by lust. you phrase your words well

I'm not a true feminist, by any means. I think what I was trying to describe was in fact, simple lust. That regardless of who you are, or your level of education- we are all very simple creatures. Not that only men are simple, humans in general. Women are somewhat irrational at times, yes. I call it like I see it, but it's evident I'm biased. Thank you for liking it.

Yeah, I had to come back to this, a true treat... I like the way the fingertip part of the dress' call shifts into the tracing the ego in the following line. I like the tongue part and the dripping, of course, I'd prolly off the 'made' before floor; perhaps some subtle changes in punctuation? Otherwise, this artistically crafted with a stinging tone and a biting final line.

One could even argue that there is a feminist flare here... where the woman champions reason; long standing stereotype that women were 'hysterical' led by the passions and incapable of math and higher order rational processes... and here, she reduces reason to lust. Anatomy rules... but, unfortunately, then it may be read to suggest that a woman still does not champion on the rational level... that this is consistent with the tradition insofar as the greatest power a woman has is still her body... hmmm. that would put her in with the biblical temptress character and the culpability of moral diminution and definitely undermine any championing of womankind. I guess it really amounts to the psychological-physiological reading and both become sexualized and animal... maybe. I love poems that make me think...

ya know... that sinking/penis juxtaposition kinda makes me think flaccid rather than aroused... what do you think about that? would it be better if the image was more potent and less impotent. Also, I think the south with interest line can be read with the rest of the theme of the temptress, the seductress. On the other hand, the sinking does go with the weakness and lack... okay, time to stop thinking for a bit... hey! thinking/sinking! lol.

On Saturday February 23rd, 2008, Ainsof (1731) writes:
I really enjoyed this, beautiful irony... the height of civilization can only ever be a dressed up monkey. As Hume would say, reason is a slave to the passions; so many priests can attest to the inability to quell the desires of the flesh... and all the information in the world would yield but a computer network... wherever there is a nervous system, thus far, there is desire, there is pleasure and pain...and thus there is no (at least not yet) transcending the base root of species saving lust. Not any more than understanding the digestive system can stop one's hunger. Darwinian, Freudian, and, my personal fav. Nietzschean... well composed, a very pointed subversion, rhetorically and insightfully advanced. Thanks! (at the end I had to wonder how I ended up looking at some guy's penis, but that's just my way of reading things I spose.)
