Peace is but a shadow of death,
Desperate to forget its past,
Relentlessly creeping along,
Untill the day of the final blast.
Destruction,
The moon shines blue,
In mourning of the world it once lit up,
Is now black in despair.
Though you hope for promising years,
After shedding a million tears,
Yesterdays sorrow constantly nears,
As you grow stronger and defeat your strongest fears.
Anger,
Hate,
Death,
They all follow in your path.
This world is full of hate and violence,
So just inhale deeply and blacken your lungs,
As the smoke grows thicker,
And the demons continue their deathly chorus.
And while the moon still shine blue,
By tomorrow it will turn to a scarlet hue,
In reflection of the phoenix,
That soars so wonderfully brilliant through the sky.
After waiting all of these years,
Finally, as the phoenix appears,
The rebirth of a once beautiful world,
Will begin with a single tear.
As peace returns from the shadows,
It can now forget its past,
In hopes that this peaceful life,
Will forever last.
