* no rhythm. no beat. just honesty*

I'm sitting on my hopes
And crushing my dreams and
It seems as though I'm strolling down
A one way street
My feet hop and skip
down a field of dreams
Of past memories.

My idle eyes watch as
Boats float by
Gliding on tell-tale lies
Sailing through kerosene skies

I knew there was something in that water

It left a bitter taste in my mouth
It tasted of pathetic veils
Which failed to hide your hollow
vanity

You were always you're main priority
Should I have felt worthy
to be under you?

Your shameless soliloquy of passion
Had absolutely no effect on me

I can't even fathom this

Like a straight-faced orgasm
I came....
...but that was it

I came
I went
I left
I should've made a right
I should've seen the light
and walk away

[but selfish hormones made me stay]

I scratched your back
Only because my nails longed to
Trace your flaws

I indulged in your pestilence
as I licked your scars
And tasted your insolence

I wasn't innocent in this incident

I know that now
but I'm promsing you now
I will not come back
Your beauty is marred
And I am no longer in awe
Of you

Goodbye Darling
It wasn't nice knowing you

Better days ahead, it's a nice change to read of a demised relationship that has certainty in an ending, about something that was once dear to us, a trait I find so hard to aquire.
