Empty is the silent space
As we ponder the grave's grace
Deeds of dark and of light
Done by those poisoned by heaven's light
Damned we are and damned we stay
Death we've courted as it runs away
Breath exhausting weighed down by most
Things that matter do not of us boast
Much does matter even as it falls apart
As memories hide and hurts the heart
Much forgotten but remembered still deep
Twists through your mind disturbs your sleep
Your face with my fingers i do touch
Tasting the bitterness of your tears and such
As the taste lingers it turns sweet
And in my mind all other thoughts turn fleet
Needed you are and needed you shall ever be
If only by a meager soul such as me........

Great write. I can relate to it, it's not that often that happens. _k
