I see in the dark shadowed eyes
I hear in the dark whispered whys
I feel in the dark a heart hiding cold
I know in the dark it is fed tenfold.

In the dark, feed it not
In the dark, the cold is wanted not
In the dark, the why dies
In the dark, fire the cries.

In the dark, there is warmth to be found
In the dark, whys make no sound
In the dark, tenfold someone comforts your cries
In the dark, I see your shadowed eyes.
