From the ashes of the past
Something good can come that will last.
Ashes from coals gone cold
Sometimes hide that which cannot be sold.
Coals from flames that raged so hot
Sometimes long conceal that which you’ve sought.
Flames from embers warm that silently wait
Find their hearth and your chill do sate.
Sometimes there is that which is loyal and steadfast
Hidden by the ashes of your past.
