As I kneel, the tears drop onto my knees
and trickle down then drop into the dusty seas.
Tears fall into the dust and create mud
seemingly more valuable to some than blood.
Silence rules my head bowed as they flow
and into the dust they trickle downward and do go.
That tear is for the pain you hide
as you conceal wounds deep inside.
That tear is for the heart that limits what it can feel
and lets fear lock hope behind its seal.
That tear is for all I offer up and remains untaken
and sends me to the dust here unclaimed and forsaken.
The tears into the dust do fall
and mix to create mud into which sinks this thrall.
Spirit crying with heart freed up tears and unseen blood
as unclaimed love is swallowed by the tear fed mud.
