Of simple "pain",
What can i endure....?

A question too often asked.....;
Within a meaningless whisper;
Within a hopefull prayer.......

Of this "inate" pain,
Of this "thing" i know so well......

Well upon my soul,
Well upon my wrist.....
On the tip of my tonge,
On the edge of my most "sacred" knife....

The blood i see, of simple "pain".....;

What can i endure.....?

How long do i embrace this "sickend" reflection, this pain...?

How long will this "first" memory speak to me.....?

incredible...evoking a sense of memoriable pain...so simple yet so intricate and so haunting it hurts. 'what can i endure...?'like pushing the needle as far as possible..playing a little game of russian roelette;in which i can relate to so much its crazy.

Simple pain is the hardest to get past through...and so often the memory of pain haunts us so...I am fascinated by the truth of feeling in here...just true poets can do that.

The Buddha said: "Life is Suffering". The Stranger says: Urban is a masterful poet whose writing transmutes pain and rage into philosophical introspection.
